Best Mugshots Ever

Posted in in spite of Johnny Rotten on July 31st, 2006

Do you think Mel Gibson was drunker than these three guys? I say no when looking at his mugshot compared to these beauties. I wonder what Glen, Johnny, and Nick had to say when they were arrested. Probably nothing considering how tight lipped they look.

The outdoor cabinet

The outdoor cabinet was getting a little weathered so I put another coat of Poly on it this weekend. It looks much better.

The Teaches of Peaches

Posted in this punk rock life, with music to boot on July 28th, 2006

Peaches performed with Eagles of Death Metal at Variety Playhouse in Atlanta last night on July 27, 2006. Peaches has now officially replaced Madonna as my female hero. It’s true we have known about Peaches from a while back after she did a couple of duos with Iggy Pop and Pink. This show was carefully choreographed and spectacular in an intimate setting. I love seeing such a showy performance especially when the music is not particularly my cup of tea. Her lyrics are fantastic and full of great meaning. I kinda sorta liked the music better too because she put some real drums and guitar behind it making it a lot more rock and roll. I would compare her performance to something like a Madonna, Alice Cooper, or Marilyn Manson show including lots of props and the acting out of each song. I think Peaches is pretty damn unique all around. The crowd was uber cool too which always makes them more tolerable to be around. Read the rest of this entry »

The grass…I mean the lawn

Yes, the lawn looks great. Filled in and very lush.

Borrowing lawnmowers

Posted in this punk rock life on July 27th, 2006

I borrowed the mower. They got dog care. The main man across the street is washing his VW rabbit he wants to sell for $1200.00 without a shirt….but despite the fucked upness of it all…the man with no shirt is a pretty cool person….pure and honest. His kids are less then that…but I guess that is how life and the world will ultimately self destruct.

F’in Dog

Posted in this punk rock life on July 25th, 2006

Our neighbors asked if I would feed and water their 300 pound dog while they take a vacation in Panama City….from what I hear the city of all cities. Anyway the dog is terrified of thunder. I had already saw the dog rip a bush apart from fear and wanting to escape being chained up during one thunder storm weeks earlier. I agreed to watch the dog. The owner seemed very calm like it was no big deal when I explained to him about watching it freak out before by saying “ok…well we are trying to get him used to it”…first of all who the hell answers every question or statement with “OK”? That’s another post. So they leave for beautiful Panama City. The next day I walk over and feed and water the dog and put him on his leader leash so he can be out of his 5X5 cage for a while. A few hours later thunder begins and he is going crazy. I get him a little calmed down and he busts a link on a log chain that he is chained to. I catch him and put him back on the leader and call it a night. Today…I went over to feed and water. He is in his cage and while I’m attempting to put his water and food inside he bursts through the gate and escapes. At that exact moment it begins to pour down rain. Really really pour down rain. So thus..this post is an expanation of the photo that proceeds it. After I walked him around in the rain for 15 minutes I finally told the old guy that I didn’t know what else to do. He was not going in his cage for sure so he let the dog inside. I hope he keeps his ass in there till they get back.

Towel Freak

Posted in in spite of Johnny Rotten, this punk rock life on July 23rd, 2006

Johnny Rotten got a bath today. Not his favorite thing to do for sure but as this picture shows he highly anticipates getting to love the towel that dries him off. Freak dog. Towel dog.
